Ngollan - You removed "mod_murmur" with a terse explanation that it is "it's more of a vulnerability than a feature".

It isn't clear how it is a vulnerability, any worse then ICE. It is also the only alternative for those who cannot install ICE on their system. If you have a better solution that addresses all the needs I suggested on the "Setting Up A Channel Viewer", which I will also revert, then please put them on the discussion page. We can then discuss the issue like gentlemen and decide if it the page should stay or not.

The wiki is a place to document how to use Mumble, even those that you may not agree with. Mrsdonovan 15:22, 25 July 2011 (UTC)

Your approach is a hack. You are reading data that does not represent a complete, up to date, or consistent view of the current server state, but instead some intermediate snapshot from some random time after the server started. interacting with the database directly has been actively discouraged for quite some time now, and for good reasons that have been outlined elsewhere.

Wile I understand your frustration with Ice, I do not see anything good coming from promoting that kind of approach in a place that serves as documentation for Mumble, and so I deemed deleting the entry a correct course of action after a (short) discussion with a developer.
